Our Love Story

Alexandria & Andrew's story together

Andrew Strange grew up in Nevada City in the Sierra Foot Hills. Alexandria grew up a few hours away in the Bay Area and the Santa Cruz Mountains. Its amazing how the world works since God didn't skip a beat in having these two love birds meet promptly in 2019 as High School was over and their relationship had room to blossom.

After spending the BEST summer together, Alexandria had a job opportunity for 4 months in Portland, Oregon... making them 9 hours apart. As Alexandria started her packed car to drive away, Andrew popped his first "I Love You", in which Alexandria so excitedly replied "I Love You, too" and "I’ll be back in no time" which she was! Her trip was cut short, and she came home a month later. However, she didn't go straight home to Felton. Instead, she headed to Nevada City, back to Andrew's loving embrace. From that point on Andrew & Alexandria drove the 4 hours back and forth spending as much time as possible together - Until one day Andrew moved to Felton!

Fast forward to November 3rd 2020. While Alexandria was 8+ months pregnant, Andrew took her to the Santa Cruz Wharf, got down on one knee, and popped the most important question she has ever been asked. He asked for her hand in marriage, for them to spend the rest of their lives together! November 7th came very soon after where Alexandria & Andrew welcomed their first baby to the world, Maverick Andrew Strange. The now family of 3 went on plenty adventures together. They went to the Christmas Tree Farm to cut down their first family tree. They took their first camping trip in Fort Bragg, California, then to Washington for more extended family time. In Washington Andrew, Alexandria, and her cousins decided to take their then 8 month old son on a "little" hike to Bridal Veil Falls. Then they saw another sign for Lake Serene and chose to continue their hike. The hike ended up being about 12 miles and 1,920ft elevation gain. Everyone took turns carrying baby Maverick. It was a beautiful hike, however they all will be avoiding last minute hiking decisions from now on. This was definitely a relationship test, and they both passed with flying colors. Their little family has had so many memorable adventures, and so many more to come.

On January 20th 2023, they expanded their family to 4. Now, 2 year old Maverick got to call himself a big brother to Marina Cierra Strange! The family spent much needed quality time together in the most recent holiday events. Some of which were going to Washington for a celebration of life, camping, Thanksgiving, a made up holiday between Thanksgiving and Christmas the family named FriendsThanxMas, and plans to travel to Andrew's parents house for Christmas, and hopefully snow.
